All Cruises Temporarily Suspended
Until 28 April 2020
Due to the spread of the respiratory diseases (COVID-19) and the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), more and more ports are currently introducing changes to their entry requirements, some of which are very short-term, which have a massive impact on planned calls by cruise ships and travel in general. Additionally, the flight options are also severely restricted in various countries.
The current developments pose great challenges for all of us around the world, because the situation is changing very dynamically. The health, safety and well-being of our guests and crew is our top priority.
That is why we made the decision to temporarily suspend all Hapag-Lloyd Cruises' voyages until 28 April 2020. In the next few days, the cruises that are still operating will be completed until 21 March 2020.
Estimated resumption of cruises:
MS EUROPA: 28 April 2020 from New York (EUR2007)
MS EUROPA 2: 30 April 2020 from Lisbon (EUX2010)
MS BREMEN: 23 May 2020 from Otaru (BRE2008)
HANSEATIC nature: 19 May 2020 from Sao Miguel (NAT2009)
HANSEATIC inspiration: 28 April 2020 from Belem (INS2008)
We very much regret this development and the inconveniences caused to our guests due to the external circumstances, which, as you appreciate, are out of our control.
Of course, we continue to monitor the situation closely. We are in constant contact with the responsible health, port and safety authorities at all times. In the interest of the health and safety of our guests and crew, we will initiate – possibly also at short notice – adjustments to our plans and measures as well as with regard to changing port regulations. In the event of further route changes, we will of course actively inform all of our booked guests and travel agencies.
