National manifestation impacting Brussels Airport
on 13 February 2025
On Thursday 13 February 2025, various Belgian trade unions have announced the organisation of a ‘national day of action’ against the saving measures proposed by the new Belgian Federal Government.
This action, which includes a demonstration in Brussels, may cause significant absences of staff at our handlers, partners and the security services, leading to disruption of key airport processes.
As a result and to limit the inconvenience for our passengers to a minimum, we will proactively adapt our flight schedule including a substantial number of cancellations in two waves:
• Tomorrow, Saturday 8 February 2025, we will review our long haul operations for 13 February 2025
• On Monday afternoon, once there is more clarity on the situation, we will start cancelling European flights on request of Brussels Airport.
