Heritage: A Taste of Belgian Craftsmanship

A drink paying homage to Belgian traditions, served in Business Class

Brussels Airlines has partnered with renowned Belgian mixologist Manuel Wouters and family distillery Filliers to create Heritage, a new signature aperitif exclusively available in Business Class on long-haul flights.

Inspired by Belgium’s rich distilling and fruit-growing traditions, Heritage blends elderflower, apple and pear to capture the country’s emblematic flavours. The drink further elevates the unique “Boutique Hotel” experience Brussels Airlines offers on board.

Manuel Wouters, founder of acclaimed cocktail bars Sips and Mill Hill, joined forces with Filliers, the Belgian distillery founded in 1880 and a long-standing Brussels Airlines partner, to develop the aperitif.

Crafted from Belgian apples, Pica pears, elderflower and Belgian grain spirit, Heritage was nearly ten months in the making, with eight recipes tested before the final blend was selected. Looking ahead, Brussels Airlines plans to expand the Heritage range in the future with a non-alcoholic alternative.

Heritage is the latest addition to Brussels Airlines’ premium onboard experience, further showcasing the best of Belgian craftsmanship and hospitality to travellers around the world.
